çorovodë a.k.a. Çorovodë, also written as Çorovoda is the main city of Skrapar District, Albania with a population of around 7,000. The Çorovoda River passes through the city and it is also home to a canyon, known as "Pirogosh". Allegedly, two kings, Piro and Goshi, named the cavern. The name of the town derives from the Slavic for "black water".
