"18 Pence": It’s 1907. Inside one of the classrooms at Santa Maria school, we hear a crowd of workers demanding their rights. Manuel, 25 years old, attends Raimundo, 60, who’s in bad health. Due to the desertion of the strike by a group of workers, Raimundo tries to persuade Manuel to join them, but he refuses to do so. The imminent firing from the army will put an end to their story.
