30 Rock


30 Rock is an American satirical television sitcom that ran on NBC from October 11, 2006, to January 31, 2013, and was created by Tina Fey. The series, which is loosely based on Fey's experiences as head writer for Saturday Night Live, takes place behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy series depicted as airing on NBC. The series' name refers to 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, the address of the GE Building, in which the NBC Studios are located. This series is produced by Broadway Video and Little Stranger, Inc., in association with NBCUniversal.

The two-disc album consists largely of songs composed by Jeff Richmond, the co-producer and musical director of the show and the husband of the creator, writer, producer, and star, Tina Fey. It includes the score of the series as well as some songs that have been featured in the show's first four seasons. It was released on November 16, 2010 by Relativity Music Group. On November 20, 2010, the cast of 30 Rock did their first ever signing for the soundtrack at the NBC Experience Store at Rockefeller Center. Appearances were made by Tina Fey, Jeff Richmond, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, John Lutz, Kevin Brown, and Grizz Chapman.

30 Rock a.k.a. The GE Building is an Art Deco skyscraper that forms the centerpiece of Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, United States. Known as the RCA Building until 1988, it is most famous for housing the NBC television network headquarters. At 850 feet high, the 70-story building is the 13th tallest in New York City and the 39th tallest in the United States. Some of the building's nicknames include The Slab and 30 Rock.

The hour-long series finale wrapped filming on December 19, 2012, and aired on January 31, 2013.
