Header of AANA



Aana, عانا, is a village in the Western Bekaa District of Lebanon, about 57km from Lebanon's capital, Beirut. Its name comes from the Syriac word 'ono, which means 'the flock'. The village has two churches, one dedicated to St. Elias and the other to the Virgin Mary, located in the adjacent borough of Deir Tahniche. The village is watered by a spring known as Shamsyne. The village produces wine and fruit. The wines of Chateau Musar grow in a tract of land about 5 km long, land that is the home of Lebanese-Brazilian Carlos Eddé.


Aana is a fictional character from the 1994 film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.


Aana is a 1983 Indian Malayalam film, directed and produced by P Chandrakumar. The film stars Madhu, Srividya, Sukumari and Jagathy Sreekumar in lead roles. The film had musical score by Jerry Amaldev.

Aana - Nazareth College, Rochester, NY

Prior to leaving, the Nazareth group had basic training in the local language of Malayalam, and one of the words that stuck was "aana," meaning elephant. On their first day there, the group was able to feed an elephant at a Hindu temple. This elephant was being trained to participate in Hindu festivals.
