  1. Adams a.k.a. The Adams Dry Fly is a fishing fly designed by Leonard Halladay from Mayfield, Michigan in 1922, at the request of his friend Charles Adams. Since then it has been one of the more versatile flies because it is effective on both the west and east coasts. It is the most popular dry fly in the world. It is usually a size 14 through size 20 and has been the most popular fly for over 30 years. It has both hackle and upright wings, brightly colored.
