  1. Aden a.k.a. Yemen, officially known as the Republic of Yemen, is an Arab country in Southwest Asia, occupying the southwestern to southern end of the Arabian Peninsula. Yemen is the second largest country in the peninsula, occupying 527,970 km². The coastline stretches for about 2,000 km. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the north, the Red Sea to the west, the Gulf of Aden and Arabian Sea to the south, and Oman to the east. Its capital and largest city is Sana'a. Yemen's territory includes more than 200 islands, the largest of these is Socotra.
  2. Aden is a seaport city in Yemen, located by the eastern approach to the Red Sea, some 170 kilometres east of Bab-el-Mandeb. Its population is approximately a million people. Aden's ancient, natural harbour lies in the crater of a dormant volcano which now forms a peninsula, joined to the mainland by a low isthmus. This harbour, Front Bay, was first used by the ancient Kingdom of Awsan between the 5th and 7th centuries BC. The modern harbour is on the other side of the peninsula.
  3. Aden is an unincorporated community in Prince William County, Virginia. The town is centered at the intersection of Aden Road and Fleetwood Drive approximately four miles due south of Manassas Airport. Aden does not have the characteristics of a distinct town entity, but one building on the north-west corner bears the name "Aden Grocery". The only other building near the intersection is a single residential home.
  4. Aden a.k.a. Aden, Illinois: Aden is an unincorporated community in Hamilton County, Illinois, United States. Aden is 6 miles west of Mill Shoals.
