Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Corfu, of which it is a municipal unit. It is located in the northwestern part of Corfu and has a land area of 39.445 square kilometres and a population of 4,958. The seat of the municipality was the town of Agros. The largest towns are Kavvadádes, Agrós, Págoi, Rachtádes, Chorepískopoi, and Afiónas.

It is 2 km northeast of Lasteika and 2 km southeast of Prasino, in the municipal unit Iardanos. Settlement in the village started between 1900 and 1920. It has a soccer club named Nikiforos.

  4. Agios Georgios is a quarter of the municipality of Rio, Achaea, Greece. Its area is just a width of about 1 km and by about 100 m. The area is about 1.2 km². The neighboring places are Rio along with the highway to the west, Kastritsi to the northeast and is accessed to the northern part of the Panachaicus, the university and the hospital to the east and the river to the south. It is located 8 km NE of Patras. The quarter is passed by the old highway.
