American University is a private, coeducational, liberal arts curriculum, doctoral, and research-based university in Washington, D.C., United States, affiliated with the United Methodist Church, although the university's curriculum is secular. The university was chartered by an Act of Congress on February 24, 1893 as "The American University," when the bill was approved by President Benjamin Harrison.
  2. The American University is located in Managua, Nicaragua and was founded in 1992. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in a variety of professional fields, such as law, medicine, business, and engineering. It offers student exchange programs through International Student Exchange Programs.
