Who is Angus Cooke?
Angus Cooke is the cellist for American rock band The Ataris. He joined the band officially in 2004, although he has added parts to occasional songs on every full-length album since Blue Skies, Broken Hearts...Next 12 Exits. His credits include the acoustic version of "My Hotel Year" from Blue Skies, "Song For A Mixtape" from End Is Forever and "Eight of Nine" from So Long, Astoria. He is probably best known, however, as the owner of Orange Whip Studios, which produced and mastered records from many labels, including Kung Fu Records. Cooke, originally from Hawaii, attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and remained in Santa Barbara after graduation, eventually founding Santa Barbara-based Orange Whip Studios.
