  1. The Bode is a river in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, a left tributary of the Saale. It rises in the Harz mountains and drains them in a northerly direction. After 169 kilometres it discharges into the Saale at Nienburg. The river is named after a legendary giant, the wild, rampaging, Bohemian, Prince Bodo, who, according to the Rosstrappe legend changed into a marauding dog that guarded the crown of Princess Brunhilde in the Kronensumpf in the present-day Bode Gorge. The gorge is the narrow section of the Bode valley between Treseburg and Thale.
  2. Bode is a city in Humboldt County, Iowa, United States. The population was 302 at the 2010 census.
  3. Bode a.k.a. Böde is a village in Zala County, in Hungary. In its vicinity can be found the church of Böde-Zalaszentmihályfa from the Árpád dynasty age.
  4. The Bode is a small 20 km long river in Thuringia. It is a left tributary of the Wipper. Its source is near the village of Holungen in small mountain range called Ohmgebirge. From there the Bode flows in a southeastern direction until it joins the Wipper at Bleicherode. Its drainage area is 104 km² and the average discharge is around 0,8 m³/s.

Bode a.k.a. Vaughn Bodē was an underground cartoonist and illustrator known for his character Cheech Wizard and his artwork depicting voluptuous women. A friend of animator Ralph Bakshi, Bodē has been credited as an influence on the films Wizards and Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings. Bodē has a huge following among graffiti artists, with his characters having remained popular among graffiti artists ever since.
