The parish municipality was created in 1866. The Garon House was built in 1867. It was therefore one of the first houses built in the early days of the parish under this name. This house was built in 2 stages: first the lower floor and then the 2nd floor. There was a basement about 1 meter deep that was used to store vegetables during the winter season. The solage was made of red spruce in length that was changed when they began to rot. The house was built by Jean Baptiste Garon dit Petitbois. All of Garon's ancestors were born there and died except for Ernest, who died in the village in the late 1940s.
