What does Kere mean as a name of something?
- A reading that in the traditional Jewish mode of reading the Hebrew Bible is substituted for one actually standing in the consonantal text with the consonants of the word or phrase to be read being usually given in the margin and the vowel points if the text is vocalized being inserted in the text.
Kere a.k.a. Kèrè is a town and arrondissement in the Collines department of Benin. It is an administrative division under the jurisdiction of the commune of Dassa-Zoumé. According to the population census conducted by the Institut National de la Statistique Benin on February 15, 2002, the arrondissement had a total population of 7,841.
Kere a.k.a. Karo Language: Karo is an Omotic language spoken in the Debub Omo Zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region in Ethiopia. Karo is described as being closely related to its neighbors, Hamer and Banna, with a lexical similarity of 81%, and is considered a dialect of Hamer by Blench.
