Robert Smith a.k.a. Robert B. Smith: Robert Benjamin Smith is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League for the Minnesota Vikings during the 1985 NFL season. Born in Bogalusa, Louisiana, he attended Grambling State University and signed to play for the Arizona Wranglers in the United States Football League. However, before he had a chance to play in the USFL, he was drafted by the Vikings in the second round of the 1984 NFL Supplemental Draft. He played in all 16 games for the Vikings in 1985, though never as a starter.
