The series debuted on October 6, 1999 on The WB and moved to UPN for the third season. The last episode aired May 14, 2002. In the United Kingdom, the show aired as both Roswell High and Roswell.

Roswell, Colorado: Roswell is a populated place that was a 19th-century Colorado railroad junction and settlement "grown up about the coal mines[and] opened up near the bluffs" and that was annexed as part of northern Colorado Springs. Incorporation began with one of the 1st two city annexations--the "Roswell City Addition" on December 1, 1880 --and continued with 4 other Roswell annexations through November 1, 1967, for a total of 245.13 acres.
