Action Beat is an instrumental improvisational noise rockband from Bletchley, UK, consisting of a rotating line up of three or more drummers and four guitar players and a bass player. The band was founded in 2004 by core members Don McLean and James Carney. Other members are Harry Taylor, Jake Burton, James Walsh, Luke Webb and Lewis Webb. In late 2011, both James Carney and Lewis Webb were sacked for separate acts of gross misconduct. Both musicians were later reinstated after a Musician's Union tribunal.
