Binded Paths on the Coast Trail
Management of trails in the Royal National Park is handled by the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service, and they do a fine job most of the time.
Here, on the Royal National Park Coast Track near Wedding Cake Rock, work on the track is most evident, with reinforcements and even an enclosed, artificial channel visible in this image.
These help redirect the flow of water to prevent the trail being eroded away by water flowing from the nearby swamplands.
