  1. Bute a.k.a. Isle of Bute: Bute is an island in the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. It has a brand new school opened recently which has an indoor football facility which is the size of Guilford Square. It is divided into highland and lowland areas by the Highland Boundary Fault. Formerly part of the county of Buteshire, it now constitutes part of the council area of Argyll and Bute. Its resident population was 6,498 in 2011, a decline of just over 10% from the figure of 7,228 recorded in 2001 against a background of Scottish island populations as a whole growing by 4% to 103,702 for the same period.
  2. Bute is a town in the Mid North of South Australia, approximately 40 kilometres east of Wallaroo and 24 kilometres west of Snowtown. It was proclaimed as a town in 1884 and named after the Isle of Bute, in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland. Attractions to the town include the nearby Bute tannery, Bute Hobbies Bromeliad Display Gardens and the Bute Hotel The town is surrounded by agricultural and pastoral land.
