  1. Herbert Lomas: Herbet Lomas was a British actor who appeared in more than forty films in a career lasting between 1931 and 1955. He was born in Burnley, Lancashire in 1887 and made his first screen appearance in the 1931 film Hobson's Choice.

He then graduated from University of Liverpool, and taught at the University of Helsinki and Borough Road College. Lomas was a "prolific translator" from Finnish. Lomas married Mary Marshall Phelps on 29 June 1968; they had one son and one daughter.
