- Contractor Safety Stand Down Meeting - Hawaii
On May 30, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii held a Contractor Safety Stand Down meeting at the Ford Island Conference Center. Over 120 command and contractor personnel attended the event which began at 8:30 a.m. and concluded at 10:45 a.m. The stand down opened with remarks from Commanding Officer Capt. Michael Williamson and included Contractor Safety Expectations from Cmdr. Joseph Pope, director Facilities, Engineering and Acquisition Division; Contractor Crane Safety Program from Daniel McMoore, director Weight Handling, guest speakers from CH2M Hill, Hensel Phelps, Healy Tibbits, and a question and answer session.
